If you want to discover the Caldera de Taburiente by the hand of the best Official Guides of La Palma, this guided hiking route is what you need to know all its beauty. After picking you up at our official stops, we will go to the Los Llanos de Aridane Bus Station, to later go by 4X4-bus to the Mirador de Los Brecitos, the starting point of this guided hiking route in the National Park of Caldera de Taburiente.
With our Official Guide, you will travel along the PR LP 13 trail, which will take you, in just three hours, to the heart of the lush National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente. On your way, at the beginning, you will pass several wooden bridges, under which, depending on the season of the year, water can flow. Once inside, you can enjoy the flora and fauna of this beautiful place, and even bathe in the waters of Playa de Taburiente, as the locals commonly call it, although we assure you that it is quite cool.
After some time to take a break and regain strength, the exit route begins through the Barranco de Taburiente and the Barranco de Las Angustias. An eastern trail that will put our legs to the test, but that will compensate us with its beautiful views, always keeping in mind the majestic Roque Idafe.
We will meander this ravine until we reach another of the must-see places on this route, La Cascada de Colores – the Colours Waterfall. To locate it, it will be enough to follow the yellowish mark of the minerals that it leaves by the ravine to reach its origin. It is a stop that must be made yes or yes if you want to take a photograph that you will not forget.
Finally, we will take the Barranco de Las Angustias that will take us, through its padded lava to the meeting point where our bus will pick us up back to the Los Llanos de Aridane Bus Station, the starting point where you can take our transfer, your vehicle or use regular transport to return to your accommodation.
*Depending on the weather situation and the recommendations of the Administrations, the departure route may be changed and do it instead of through the Barranco de Las Angustias, through the Mirador de Los Brecitos again, point where, after a small ascent our bus will pick us up to take us back to the point of origin, the Los Llanos de Aridane Bus Station.
